.text is a required field for a "data source". If a spec is to be written or followed then it must be adhered to

Scroll down to the Extension or Deviations of Data Source and Launcher section. It describes what your broker in fact is. Your broker is not a Data Display which directly shows data right there in text. Yours is something that shows a popup on mouseover.

If, as in the example you link and follow, your mod does something interesting like display the current FPS you get in wow then yeah, go ahead and use the text field.

If instead you are just wanting to label it, as is the case here where you display a static text, then please use the appropriate spec defined field called "label". Surely you agree that you are just labeling your icon? You are not arguing that "Dailies On Alts" is mandatory text that has to take up the space of 3 icons are you?

If you are too lazy to do it I am happy to ninja commit the change.

Azethoth, im not going to argue LDB specs (or lack there of) in my thread here. It's quite off topic. Fact is that there is no adhered method that is consistent for all displays. I use chocolate bar myself, and it doesn't even look at the .label field from what i can tell reading the code. Fact also remains that the core spec as linked above requires a text field.. that's the story and im sticking to it.

If your particular display addon doesn't allow you to hide the .text field, then you should take that up with the author of that addon.

Sorry about the recent fubar, All of the translations from the quests will need to be reimported.

I'd do it myself, but because of the system It'll take a long time importing in segment by section (otherwise it reassigns the namespace if done at once). You guys can do it all in one jot from the quest scanner.
