Default JebusMail - Official Thread

At the urging of my friends, I'm releasing JebusMail to the general public. I thought it was "just another mail mod", but my friends really like it. It's based heavily on the old MailTo mod and Postman.

It can be found at: http://files.wowace.com/JebusMail/JebusMail.zip

I guess I should advertise what this mod does:
  • Remembers last recipient and fills it in each time
  • Adds a drop-down menu to the recipient box. This drops down 4 categories: Alts, Friends, Guild, Other
  • Log in as each alt to get it listed in the Alts list
  • Delivery notification (sound optional) for items sent to non-alts
  • Right-click on a message in the summary window to collect items and money (one at a time)
  • Displays total money received once the mailbox window is closed
  • Options are found in the new 2.4 Interface Options - AddOns window

I'm sure there are a few more items to note, but I can't remember them right now.

Please post any feedback, suggestions, or bugs.

Hi!

I tested it out, and it's really a great tool!
No bugs, it just works really fine.
Thank you for your addon!

Additionally I have some suggestions that would make this addon even better:
1) Divide the guild list up, into multiple separate lists, like 'A-F', 'G-L' and so on.
We have a large guild with a lot of members, which makes the guild list very very long otherwise.

2) Add a category 'last used'
I would suggest keeping the last 15 entries as default.
The size of the list could be changeable via options (and you could add a clear button there ).

Agains, thanks for your great addon, perhaps you'll find the time to add my suggestions.

best regards
tayedaen

Does this play nice with Postal (not to be confused with Postman)?

Without having tried this yet it sounds like an alternative to Postal, not a compliment.

Good idea but sucks for multiple alts. Instead remember last TWO recipients, and dont fill in your own name since u cant send or want to send to your self, fill in the other name instead.

Have you tried Postal? Are you going to match and exceed its features? If you are I will switch since Postal seems to be in maintenance mode.

The postal features I use the most are the Key Bindings:

*Ctrl-click mail item returns to sender.
*Shift-click mail item just puts it into bags without the annoying dialog.
*Alt-Left-Click bag item just mails it to current recipient.

*These are so fast that I almost never use auto-open-all or the blizzard crating things together interface.

I usually have items I want to keep queued since my Druid is totally out of bag and bank space. So a feature I would like would be maybe:

Alt-click mail item to open everything on the current mail page.

Or perhaps

*Alt-click mail item to open everything of that type in the mail box. So all Netherweave, or all Motes of Life.
