Default Rock and Patch 3.2

Hi there,

I wanted to ask, if there are/will be an updates to the Rock framework, because with Patch 3.2 nowadays on the PTRs all addons using it seem to be broken.
"Famous" ones like Fubar, Cartographer, Cowtip etc.
Pitbull3 also uses it, but it already has a successor unlike the others (at least I'm not aware of any).

I for myself am not really gifted with coding talents to be really of help, but I wanted to know the statements of the authors, if they will update/convert any of the affected addons or not.

Thank you

Cart2 is no longer being updated for patches iirc, and has been abandoned by it's author last time i checked.

There is a nice replacement for FuBar - Chocolate Bar.
As for cowtip - not sure, don't use anything like that anymore.

There is an working alpha version of LibRockConfig-1.0 that works on the PTR (find it on wowace). Installing this will fix all the rock errors and rock-based addons.

2 of CK's addons have also been converted from Rock to Ace3, they are Chinchilla and something else I think.

ah thx for the information

One question though. Will those addons that don't have a successor ever be converted?

I'm currently using TipTac for my tooltip addon instead of CowTip.

What I'd really love to see is a tooltip addon that is based on Shefki's LuaTexts idea (which replaces DogTags in PitBull4). For those of us that really like to get our hands dirty and spend hours configuring individual addons.

I've moved on to Pitbull4, DockingStation, Tiptac, and Mapster to prepare for the next patch. I got a nice loading speed boost too.
